Hey Y’all! I’m Kelly Bazzle, a 34-year-old working Mom living in Tampa, Florida with my husband and our two kids.
Becoming a Mom has allowed me to learn so much more about myself and the world around me.
I’ve created this blog to start conversations, share life stories, show you my take on Mom Life and share my DIY projects with you!
Drake and I met in 2004 and didn’t start dating until 2007. We have been on this crazy journey together for 12 years and I’m so lucky to call him my best friend. Drake is a 1st Lieutenant in the Army National Guard and we are gearing up for our very first deployment in the almost 10 years he’s been in the Army. I’m so proud of all of his accomplishments. We have a lot of emotions about his upcoming deployment, but that’s another reason I’ve decided to make this blog. To share our experiences and yes, our struggles through it all.
Camden Brett Bazzle made me a Mommy on February 19, 2015; and on August 14, 2018, Kate Sadler Bazzle made him a big brother. Being a Mom has been the greatest gift and it definitely comes with its struggles. But I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.
Life in the News World
My career has been a wild ride over the past 10 years. I graduated from Winthrop University in South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Art. For a few years after college I was a graphic designer for multiple companies. In a crazy twist of fate, I found myself on a Top 40 Radio Morning Show in Charleston, SC and then I moved on to TV to be the “Trending Reporter” at our local NBC-affiliate. Behind the scenes, I was the Digital Content Manager, covering the latest Charleston and National news for our station’s website, social media and mobile app. I was ready to take my experience to the next level and we moved our family to Tampa, Florida in 2015 where I became a Digital Content Producer for ABC Action News. Within 8 months I was promoted to Digital Executive Producer and to this day, I manage the content for our website, our app, our streaming apps and our social media accounts. It’s been a crazy ride but I’m blessed to be where I am in my career. Being a working mom has its challenges but I’m lucky to have a very supportive work environment and I’ve created a wonderful support system in Tampa.
